I shared this recipe {if it can even be called a ‘recipe’} on Katie {Did} It last month and with it being so close to Halloween, I wanted to share it here to give you some ideas on Halloween treats for your kids and/or their classmates!
I don’t remember very many Halloweens with I was little. I have vague memories of being a cat one year and feeling like I was the most awesome cat in the world. I’ve seen pictures of me, dressed up as a ninja, and I remember that year I went around karate chopping every person and thing in sight. If I remember correctly, I even made one girl cry…whoops. I think my most vivid memory though, is helping my mom put together Halloween treats to take to my class. I already shared her infamous pumpkin sugar cookies, but this is another treat she was known for around my school as well. Behold the popcorn goodie bags:
They’re just spooky enough to be classified as a Halloween treat, but any child will think they’re the coolest idea ever. Like I said, I don’t know if this can really be called a recipe since it’s so simple, but I’m going to tell you anyway.
Ingredients:
- 5 plastic gloves {I searched everywhere for these gloves and people kept leading me to latex and vinyl ones. You don’t want those. Go to Subway and they’ll give you a bunch of these for free.}
- 25 candy corn pieces
- 2 bags microwave popcorn, popped
- 5 twisty ties
Directions:
- Open a glove and place one candy corn in each finger, with the tip pointing downward.
- Stuff your glove with popcorn, making sure to get all the nooks and crannies of the fingers.
- Tie off with a twisty tie and you’re good to go!
Talk about easy and super cheap! Not to mention, your kids will love them. I hope you enjoy them as well! Happy Halloween, friends!
