Christmas Cookie Exchange Link Up

Once upon a time, Zachary and I moved to Fort Collins and met a ton of awesome people. Among those awesome people were two girls, Danelle and Sandra, that happen to be food bloggers, just like us! We were talking and Danelle thought it would be a great idea to have a virtual Christmas cookie exchange. Awesome, right?? I loved the idea and was on board immediately. Holiday cookie baking {and sharing} is a tradition in so many homes and we want to keep that tradition alive.

So, how does this work? We’re going to share with you some of our favorite holiday cookies and in return, you’ll have the opportunity to link up and share you favorites as well! Or at the very least, you can hop around to other blogs and get some awesome ideas and recipes to add to your holiday baking repertoire. Now it’s time to meet your hosts and see what they have to share.

First, we have Danelle at  Let’s Dish. She made some delicious Pomegranate White Chocolate Chip Cookies for ya. Everyone loves these unique holiday cookies. They’re a wonderful combination of sweet and tart. If you’re looking for something that will set your holiday cookie trays apart from the crowd, then this is the cookie for you!

Also from Let’s Dish, these Hot Cocoa Cookies–much like a steaming mug of hot cocoa–are a perfect holiday treat.  Though still tasty when cooled completely, they are best eaten warm, while the marshmallow is still gooey. Once they’re cool, just pop them in the microwave for 10 seconds or so to return them to a fresh-from-the-oven state.

Next up, we have Sandra from A Dash of  Sanity. She is featuring her Amazing Soft Sugar Cookies.  Everyone needs a fabulous, soft sugar cookie recipe in their collection. These cookies are sure to become a year-round favorite.  During the holidays, just add some festive frosting and a few holiday sprinkles and you’ve got a Christmas cookie everyone will love.

Also from A  Dash of Sanity – Grandma’s Ginger Cookies are a family favorite, and for good reason! They have all the flavor of a classic gingersnap, but with a soft, chewy texture that makes it hard to eat just one. And while they bake, your kitchen will be filled with a heavenly holiday aroma.

Finally, there’s us here at High Heels and Grills. You may have already seen these two cookies around, but they’re two of my very favorites!  If you don’t like all the rolling and cutting of traditional sugar cookies, then you’ll love these Sugar Cookie Bars. You can adapt them to any holiday or occasion just by changing up the frosting or adding holiday sprinkles.

Also from High Heels and Grills, The Best Snickerdoodles Ever. These cookies are a classic addition to any holiday cookie tray. They’re easy to make but always a favorite! And just like the recipe says, this version is the best ever!
