Strawberry Shortcake

Ingredients

  • 4 cups strawberries sliced
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar divided
  • 2 & 1/3 cups Homemade Bisquick Mix
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 Tbsp. salted butter melted
  • 1 cup whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425ºF.
  2. Place strawberries and 1/4 cup sugar in a medium bowl and stir until strawberries are completely coated. {Make those babies sweat!} Set aside.
  3. In another medium bowl, combine the Homemade Bisquick Mix, 3 Tbsp. sugar, milk, and butter. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  4. Drop dough into six spoonfuls onto an ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, beat the whipping cream and remaining Tablespoon of sugar with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form.
  6. Split the cakes while warm and stuff with strawberries and whipped cream.
